FAQ’s

Pets

All mammals have an endocannabinoid system and as such, giving them phytocannabinoids could help promote well being. HOWEVER, the Vets Association are (quite rightly) very protective about what we can say about treatment with CBD.

We have recently started to stock CBD for Pets, and the products can be found here on our website.

Pregnancy

We are not medically trained. Some of our staff have completed and some are studying UK recognised medical cannabis and CBD courses. Although we have experience in cannabis we are in no way qualified to give advice on medical issues.

If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant we would suggest you talk to your GP or your midwife before commencing a course of CBD.

Allergies

The ingredients in our products vary from product to product, please read the label to ensure you’re not buying something that may cause a reaction. As some of our products do contain nut oil, we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination of nut oil with our other products which may have been made at the same location.

So what are your Qualifications?

We are not medically trained, we are not pharmaceutically trained and we have no qualifications that allow us to offer you any medical advice. We are experts in cannabinoids and will do what we can to help to promote people’s well being. But, all our knowledge is based on experience and from helping ourselves and family. Some of our staff have recently completed or are studying UK recognised courses in Medical Cannabis and CBD.

The oil is not coming out of the bottle

This is due to the varying nature of a biological product- sometimes the oil can be quite thick after mixing. If the environment is cool or it has been posted during the winter season, this may cause the oil to be too thick for the dropper. To fix this, please just pop the bottle in a cup of warm water for around 3 minutes until it softens up. If after doing so the issue still persists, please don’t hesitate to get back in contact with us. Warming the products slightly will not effect them.

Storage

Please ensure that the oil is kept upright at all times, in a cool dark place when not in use. A cupboard or shelf should be fine.

You can also store bottles not in use in the fridge or freezer, however we do not recommend freezing capsules.

Payment

Payments can be made by Visa or debit card. Card payments are processed via our Spanish and Dutch partners. Card details are never stored on our server. Checkout is secure and provided by our partners at Cardgate.

Can I travel with CBD products?

CBD is generally not a controlled substance so in most cases, however, due to the nature of the product some countries’ border forces may consider it to be cannabis oil and, as such seize the product and or you and ruin your holiday, so we advise against it.

Medicine Interaction

Another CBD Company staff are not medically trained and as such cannot comment on the interaction of other drugs with our products.

We suggest that you speak to your GP or other medical professional and ask their advice. Alternatively you could look online and see what others have to say, also sites like https://www.webmd.com/interaction-checker can be extremely helpful in starting your research.

Do your products contain THC?

Yes, due to the nature of the extract all cannabis (hemp) based extracts will contain trace amounts of THC. There is an unwritten rule that an amount up to 0.2% is acceptable in the product. However, the Home Office will say that the extract must contain no THC whatsoever but as this is unworkable, and also in such small amounts that it will not have any psychoactive effects, they tend not to act on it; they have far more important things to be doing.

Some of our oils currently contain trace amounts which can be found on the certificates of analysis. However from March 2021 due to new regulations, none of our products sold on this website will contain any THC.

What do the Abbreviations mean?

On our packaging we have a traffic light system to distinguish which strain of plant is used, how the plant is grown, method of extraction and the total CBD percentage.
Sa – Sativa
Hy – Hybrid
In – Indica
Su – Grown under sunlight
Gl – Grown under grow lights
CO2 – Extraction method
%CBD – Percentage of CBD per Bottle

CBD per drop or capsule and also total CBD in the product is indicated on each label too.

What is the difference in the oils?

We use different extracts grown by licensed growers, in different conditions from all over Europe to make our wide range of products.

Our Red Label edition is extracted from Cannabis Sativa, which is grown outdoors. (used to be Green and Blue Label). Available in 3 strengths in capsules or drops, and also paste.

The Green Label range is a Cannabis Hybrid. It is made up of 30% sativa and 70% Indica. (used to be purple label) The cannabis that is used to produce this extract is grown outdoors in Holland. Available in 3 different strengths in capsules or drops, and also paste.

Our New Purple Label Editions all use the same Cannabis Indica extract diluted to 2 different concentrations. This strain is grown under lights in a controlled environment for maximum cannabinoid content, yield and profile. The cost of production is much higher and for this reason the price too. (used to be white, red and black labels)

We also have a range of Gold products in both Hybrid and Sativa. Gold products are made from oil which has been further processed to remove waxes, sterols and also THC removed in the Sativa products.

A percentage from all sales goes towards our compassion program.

Which Oil would suit me?

Due to the Government not recognizing cannabis as having any medicinal value- we are categorically not allowed to make any recommendations or claims. If we do, the MHRA and other agencies could consider this as making a claim about our oil as treatment, therefore promoting it as medicine- which is illegal and if found to be breaking these rules, we as a company could be shut down.

The other reason we cannot make recommendations is that we just don’t know. Everybody has an endocannabinoid system, which is the system that directly interacts with the compounds in cannabis to promote wellbeing. We as humans, have different lifestyles and interactions and as such our bodies will respond differently to the individual extracts- which means what is good for one, may not be good for another. For example, two people with the same condition on paper may respond differently to the exact same extract. This is why we offer a range of extracts in the hope that when you choose our oils, you will be able to find the best to suit you as an individual- maximising the feeling of wellbeing.
